DENVER — A 26-year-old Boulder girl died after falling 500 toes from Blitzen Ridge in Rocky Mountain Nationwide Park Sunday.
The lady, whose id has not been launched, was free-solo climbing when she fell from 4 Aces of Blitzen Ridge, positioned on Ypsilon Mountain on the east aspect of the park.
A 27-year-old Boulder man who was with the lady referred to as park rangers after the autumn. A search and rescue group reached the realm later that night, in accordance with a press launch from the park.
A Nationwide Guard helicopter was used to extricate the person through a hoist operation. He was unhurt.
The lady’s physique was recovered early Monday morning, the park mentioned. Her physique was then transferred to the Larimer County Coroner’s Workplace.
