WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A Westminster police officer driving down Sheridan Boulevard on Tuesday night struck and killed a pedestrian who stepped into the road, the police division stated.
Round 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer with the Westminster Police Division was driving southbound on Sheridan Boulevard. Because the officer neared 107th Avenue, simply north of Westminster Metropolis Park, a pedestrian stepped into the highway and the officer struck the individual.
The pedestrian, recognized solely as a person, was pronounced deceased on the scene, police stated. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Workplace will launch his id at a later time.
